Understanding Stewards at Spectator Events L2

Elite Academy has a fantastic history with regards to this qualification, over the past year we have fully trained around 1250 young learners whom many have gone on to complete the Door Supervisor programme and gain successful employment with Security companies involved in the 2012 Olympic Games.

The Ncfe/HABC Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events (QCF) is a qualification for individuals seeking employment in spectator safety or currently working in spectator safety.

Candidates can progress to the NVQs in Spectator Safety at Levels 2 and 3 and a further progression to the Level 4 NVQ in Spectator Safety Management.

The Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events contains the following four units:

  • How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning
  • How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
  • How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
  • How stewards prepare for spectator events

This course can also include the use of guest speakers and lectures from the senior management team and police who already work within the industry.

Previous learning requirements
There are NO formal entry requirements; this qualification is open to all candidates who are preparing to work, or who already work, in the Event Stewarding/Spectator Safety industry.

The assessment for this qualification is through a workbook which is imternally verified and externally marked which is provided as part of the course.

Candidates must successfully achieve all four units to achieve the Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events.

Participants can undertake the training in several ways in house with agreement from the host, this can take between 3 & 9 months to complete, but is a good way to achieve the qualification in house.

Alternatively it can be completed in a full 4 or 5 consecutive training days.

If your company is interested in this then please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss the uptake of this programme further.
