Award in Security Guarding Level 2

The Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (QCF) is a programme designed to meet the needs of learners requiring a qualification enabling the application for an SIA licence for security guarding. It is based on the SIA specification (2009) for core competency training for security guards covering the necessary understanding of the security industry and subject related security functions

Aim

To provide the learner with the basic knowledge and understanding required to ensure the provision of a professional level of service as a security operative and to address the SIA licensing requirements.

Objectives

Develop the learner's understanding of the roles and responsibilities of security officers working in the private security industry and the relevance of regulations within which they must operate
